Good with Food Roadshow – Royal Welsh Show
Tuesday, August 25th, 2009The next date on our tour was the Royal Welsh Show. This was the biggest show of the tour and one of our personal favourites!
We had local chef and hotelier Gareth Johns preparing two delicious recipes in our roadshow kitchen – the first being Welsh Beef Tagliata, and for desert a Welsh Slapan. Both these dishes went down extremely well with all the visitors who were lucky enough to taste them. They also liked the fact that they were prepared using welsh ingredients.

At this show we were also sampling other Welsh produce – Welsh Cakes and Welsh tomatoes, which people seemed to really like and were buying them in our roadshow shop!
The highlight of this show was once again winning an award! We won the reserve prize for ‘Best Commercial Trade Stand in the Non- Agricultural Section’ of the showground which we were absolutely delighted with!

This was one of the shows where unfortunately we were not blessed with fantastic weather for all four days. The first couple of days saw us sporting our plastic ponchos and braving the elements whilst promoting the demonstrations by Gareth Johns, handing out goodie bagsĀ and sampling the ‘truly irresistable’ products from the Co-operative!

ponchos and wellies were needed at the Royal Welsh Show!!!
The next stop on our tour is the New Forest and Hampshire County Show…see you there!
